Dr. Deborahlise Mota
Dr. Deborahlise Mota has had extensive training in Functional Medicine, including Functional Lab analysis and Nutritional treatment protocols. Her practice in both New Mexico and Colorado were focused on women’s health and digestive wellness.
Dr. Mota was honored to have served on the medical team at the Birth Center of Boulder, treating women from preconception, through pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Her lifelong passion for nutrition led her to study Microbiome Medicine, and continues to be a dedicated detective for all gut health disorders.
After 25 years in the Southwest, Dr. Mota has returned to the Bay Area to be closer to family. She is a UCSC graduate in Environmental Sciences & Agroecology, followed by her Masters in Oriental Medicine from IICM in Santa Fe, and her doctorate from Five Branches, Santa Cruz.
Dr. Mota is looking forward to joining the San Jose Integrative Medicine team, and to expand the services on gut microbiome health, Functional Medicine consultations, and in-person acupuncture treatments.
